Canon EOS IX Lite APS SLR Camera w/ 22-55mm Lens

The EOS IX Lite offers automatic adjustment for close-ups, portraits, landscapes, action scenes, and night shots. There is a high-performance three- point autofocus system, and an advanced built-in flash that activates automatically or can be shut off manually. This model includes a 22-55mm zoom lens, the ideal basic lens for the EOS IX Lite. The lens has an ultrasonic motor drive that delivers precise, silent, high-speed auto focusing.

It integrates six-zone exposure metering sensors with three autofocus points for ideal exposures in all kinds of lighting conditions. The autofocus system also detects whether the subject is stationary or moving, and automatically adjusts focusing so you can get great shots of sports events. This kit comes with a Canon 22-55mm EF lens; you can add any Canon EF lenses or Speedlites to expand your photographic capabilities.

I've been an amateur photographer for quite a while, learning on an older all manual Yashica 35mm-SLR. Along came APS, and I went to the simpler automatic cameras.
THe EOS IX Lite takes the best of what APS offers and the flexibility of an SLR. It even has MRC, which the Elph's don't have, and that's a BIG plus in my book.
The first few shots I took were wonderful. I can't wait to give this camera a full run through its paces.

This camera surprised me. I was hesitant to move to an SLR but after months of shopping around I settled on this one. Upon using it on several trips in a variety of circumstances I am confident that I made the best purchase possible. The APS functionality makes having the choice of 3 sizes truly fun and something cool to experiment with. The only drawback is that APS film and developing are slightly more expensive and the film is a little more difficult to find. I've been able to take pictures that I only thought possible by a professional. This camera is much lighter than I expected in one with some much functionality and fits ergonomically in the hand. I can't wait to learn all of the factions it has, but while learning the automatic modes and simple functionality make it as easy too use as a point and shoot.

This camera is one of my all time favorites!
Even though I am well into the digital revolution I can't
bring myself to sell this camera. Rarely use it now but for years
it delivered very good images.
The best qualities of this camera are the ability to use the panaramic
format and the speed and ease of operation. There were many shots
that I captured because this could be implemented immediately and easily when surprised by interesting subject matter.
The negitive is small but when processed via Kodak includes very specific information allowing for development of the picture that is remarkably similiar to what you actually observed at the time of capture.
Full rich color and sharp pictures made this camera a joy to use.
Boy weren't those simpler times!
