Amazon.com Product Description The C700 Advantix camera from Kodak is an Advanced Photo System camera with a 30-60mm motorized zoom lens that captures portrait, group, and panoramic shots. Point-and-shoot simplicity and infrared autofocusing let you take photos from 2 feet and beyond. An automatic pop-up flash fires automatically in low-light situations. The Kodak C700 records lighting and color data on the film's magnetic strip for the photo lab to use when developing, and it also imprints each picture with date and time information. Because the Kodak C700 is an APS camera, it offers three picture formats--classic, group, or panorama--at the touch of a button. The viewfinder displays the selected picture size for simplified camera operation. The self-timer lets you snap self-portraits or include yourself in group photos. The Kodak C700 automatically advances and rewinds film, and the safety interlock prevents the film door from opening until the roll is completely rewound. Kodak's midroll change feature enables you to remove and reload the film cartridges or switch film speed. The Kodak C700 comes with a roll of Kodak Advantix color film, battery, coupon book, instructional manual, and detachable camera strap. Kodak offers a one-year warranty on parts and labor.
Product Description Intelligent, versatile and ready to capture the moment, Kodak Advantix C700 allows to get sharp close-ups and magnificent wide shots with a 30-60 mm auto zoom lens, and a flip-up flash that helps eliminate red-eye problems. Stamp a date and choose a message for the back of your photo with a print titling feature that knows five languages. The C700's mid-roll film change feature lets you switch cassettes whenever you like-to change film speed or to keep rolls sorted by subject. With this camera, you can also choose a print title from the title-select list and a language before you take a picture. You also have the option to choose an additional title for the entire roll of film. The selected titles will be printed on the back of your prints.

Love this camera October 13, 2000 Food Fan (Saint Paul, MN United States) 43 out of 43 found this review helpful
I too love this camera. It won the Consumers Reports best all round value for cost, ease of use and quality of pictures etc. It took some time to find in stores but after getting it for Christmas I have never had a bad picture. People comment on how great the pictures are an I agree. It is light and fits in a pocket, sure its not as small as an Elph, but you need something to hold on to! The controls are easy. I am no photographer but my pictures are suddenly looking great. It is my first APS camera and the joy of not having to worry about having the film load, having the time and date of the picture taken printed on the back of the pictures and the three formats available is a really great. I love this camera, apparently a C800 now exists as well. If it is based on the C700 then I'm sure its great. Its a great price, enjoy!
Kodak C700 Advantix Zoom Camera July 8, 2000 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
Great little camera that is comfortable to hold. The best feature of this camera is the lack of red-eye when using flash. The camera does not even have a red-eye setting...that annoying strobing flash or steady light before the actual exposure. It doesn't need it because of the generous separation of flash tube to lens. The title imprinting when selected, prints on back of the print and has a choice of 30 titles. Another nice feature is mid-roll rewind. Takes sharp pictures and well worth the money.
Exellent June 12, 2000 Alex Gray (Pennsylvanila) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
This camera is the best investment I have made ever! The camera suits my needs perfectly for just taking casual pictures or really interesting pictures that you would think would be taken with a real camera. I would reccomend this camera to anyone because of its light weight and its great picture taking ability! SUPERIOR!
Great Camera September 7, 2000 Jay 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
I have found this to be a wonderful camera. I bought it specifically to take on vacation with me about a year ago. I thought it would be a good opportunity to get a nice little camera that was convenient to try the new Advantix film format. I have enjoyed both. The camera is light, of a nice size, good zoom range, and very versatile in respect to the price. Naturally it is not the best camera on the market, but for the price it can't be beat. The only annoyances I have found is that it automatically defaults back to the 4x7 picture size so you have to remember to change it - also the auto shut-off feature designed to save battery power, all to often I have gone to take a picture and the camera has turned itself off because I left it on for too long. Still, for the price, nothing beats the ease and convenience of this little gem of a camera.
My Favorite Camera December 9, 2001 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I have had this camera for a year and a half now, and have been very pleased with it. Long after the digital camera has been mailed off to the camera hospital, this workhorse just keeps going with no problems. Aside from the usual family photos, there are two main types of pictures I am taking. The first is of large groups, mostly with moving kids in them, often in a church setting with bad lighting. The Advantix produces a picture that is sharp and clear, with a sense of dimension to it. Not too much red-eye problem. The shutter moves quickly enough, too, so I can get the activity without too much blur. The second type of photo is very close-up (within a couple of feet) of science experiments (we document homeschool lab work with pictures). The Advantix produces a picture which lets us show our equipment, often even the labels on the chemical bottles, and does well distinguishing "before" and "after" in beakers. The only limit to this camera for me is that I can only get 200 and 400 speed film for it. What I really want is 800, but that doesn't seem to be available. I need that faster speed to get good pictures at concerts, where distance and lighting are often problematic. You get an easy to use index print back from the processor. No more trying to figure out which negative you want for copies. Very simple. I like the choice of picture sizes: portrait, group, and panorama. You can also get your photos printed on a CD-Rom and then manipulate as though they were coming from a digital. All in all, for the money I spent, this is one great camera.
