Product Description IMPAX 300 is the highest specification of the Samsung 'Advanced Photo System-Series'. It distinguishes itself from comparable cameras with its ultra compact, light and modern design. It is high quality, too. With the Samsung SHD (Super High Definition) 2, 8fold-zoom 28 to 80mm that equates to 35 to 100mm in 35mm format, the Samsung Impax 300 reaches a performance class, in which similar expensive models are classified. There is also an infinity mode that allows one to take pictures through window glass. This important characteristic will be a feature of the Samsung Impax 300. With the help of the PQI-technology (Print Quality Improvement) and the magnetical data exchange between film and processing labor in the print production, special photographic date will be so considered that the best pictures are always taken even in critical shots conditions. A special feature, which is highly recommended by users of camera because of its clearness, is the adjustment panel on the back side of the camera. All functions can be selected here and checked on the central LCD-Display.
Amazon.com Product Description The Maxima Impax 300i is Samsung's streamlined APS point-and-shoot camera. Ultracompact, the Impax 300i features automatic focus, programmed electronic autoexposure, with a 28 to 80mm zoom lens and automatic flash built in. The autoflash comes with an array of modes, including Fill-in, Red-Eye Reduction, Flash-Off, Night Mode, and Slow Sync. Because the Impax 300i is an APS camera, film loading is drop-in, rewind is automatic, and you can print your pictures in three formats, including panoramic. Other options include a self-timer, magnetic IX, PARm PQI, and Caption mode as well as date imprinting in five formats.

Best APS Value January 7, 2000 Leslie Grady (Weatherford, Texas) 57 out of 57 found this review helpful
This is the APS camera to buy. Don't let the fairly unfamiliar name (in the camera world) of Samsung distract you from the best APS camera value by far. The 28-80 mm zoom lens outdistances all but 1 or 2 of the other APS cameras on the market now. It is also the same size as those advertised as "smallest available" at 3.8 x 2.25 x 1 inches. I don't know why this little guy doesn't get more attention, but it is a fantastic camera. The photos will not disappoint. And it's a rugged little thing! I fell into a stream while crossing with this camera hanging around my neck, and it was no worse for the wear after I removed the battery and let it dry out overnight. All the photos on the roll, before and after the plunge, were great. Buy it to believe it!
Just got it, and already I love it! January 25, 2000 16 out of 18 found this review helpful
This little camera is just loaded with features. I am really impressed, and I haven't even finished taking my first roll of pictures! The zoom is really zoomy and smooth. I like all the flash options, and the lcd panel on the back is very intuitive. This camera even comes with a couple of little reference cards, so that you don't have to tote the manual around or remember the more obscure options if you want.
Great things do come in small packages June 6, 2000 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is my fourth still camera (one other Samsung zoom) and my second APS. I can't believe all they have packed into such a small package. It's extremely versatile, and I have had nothing but excellent results with it. I've put it through the paces in a variety of situations and settings, and it has always come through for me. Because of its size, I always carry it with me. It gets more use (and usually better results) than my three other cameras combined. Great for someone who doesn't want to sacrifice quality for convenience.
An extremely decent camera for the money August 6, 2000 Stephen C Wagstaff (Berkeley, CA) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
This camera is a great deal for the price. It features the APS film system and a great zoom lens [80mm] at a price that is less than many other manufacturers' non-zoom APS cameras. The zoom is controlled and as powerful as one can reasonably expect. Generally speaking, the camera is both extremely easy to use and reliable. Used properly, it takes very good pictures. It is every bit as small as many much more expensive APS cameras, though it is a tad heavier than some. Overall, the Impax 300ix is a great bargain and an even better camera.
This is "THE APS CAMERA"!! July 11, 2001 Vas (CA, USA) I have used this camera for more than a year now and believe me, it's a great camera. I travel a lot and I have over 500 photos now which I washed after using this camera and each one of them is extremely satisfying. They come out clear and with excellent quality. I like this one. It's good value for money.
